Foremost a tennis club, OPRC offers

  • 32 lighted outdoor tennis courts (27 clay, 5 hard),

  • five air-conditioned hard indoor tennis courts with an upstairs viewing lounge,

  • three platform tennis courts, and

  • six pickleball courts.

We do everything possible to help members find partners and keep the ball in motion. We offer

  • Adult and junior league programs

  • The most players per age group and skill level of any club in the metro area.

And thanks to our impeccable grounds staff, our courts are the best groomed in Charlotte! Need equipment? Our pro shop offers racquets, activewear, and accessories - stop in and talk to our knowledgeable staff.

Our highly experienced, award-winning tennis professionals are eager to help you make the most of your game. The Olde Providence Tennis Academy (OPTA), a group of Tennis Teaching Professionals, offers juniors and adults of all skill levels and ages a fun, friendly, and educational tennis experience. Drop-in classes include cardio tennis, yoga for tennis led by a certified Yoga Instructor, and spin serve and return techniques; private lessons will help to bring your game to the next level.

Work out yourself, join a group exercise class, or work with a personal trainer at the club’s Fitness Center. Join the adult lap swimmers at our Olympic-sized pool, or grab the family for a pool day and enjoy the two-sided slide, diving board, and toddler pool with zero-entry with multiple water features.

We offer Summer camps to kids starting at age 5. OPTA delivers year-round tennis instruction for kids 5 and older. We offer a swim team for children 18 and under.

OPRC members love being social off the court. Certain events are planned with league activities or the high-profile professional tennis tournaments we host. Others, like our Oyster Roast and Pig Pickin’, are just for fun! Members may rent the clubhouse, use our club caterer, and throw parties independently.

We are proud of our club’s constant drive to do more for our membership. That focus has won Olde Providence recognition from the United States Tennis Association at the state and regional levels as Member Organization of the Year.
