A Club Rich in History & Tradition

Olde Providence Racquet Club is located on a beautiful 55 acre campus and offers 27 outdoor clay (15 lighted), 5 outdoor hard and 5 indoor hard tennis courts. Founded in 1962 as a not-for-profit, member owned club, Olde Providence has grown to become one of the premier facilities in the Southeast.

Olde Providence, over the years has proudly hosted a number of prestigious tournaments and exhibitions. Previous events include the Davis Cup, the NCNB Classic, U.S. Men's Clay Court Championships, World Team Tennis and the Federation Cup. Tennis legends who have played at OP include Andre Agassi, Ken Rosewall, Chris Evert, Margaret Court, John McEnroe, Stan Smith, Martina Navratilova and Charlotte's own "Doctor Dirt," Tim Wilkison. Each year, OPRC now hosts the North Carolina State Closed (odd years) tournament for adults and the North Carolina Junior Clay Court State Open.
